Elena Varga – Director of Conservation Programs
Elena has spent more than 15 years working at the intersection of ecology and community development. With a background in environmental science and a lifelong passion for wildlife, she leads our conservation initiatives across Europe. Elena specializes in habitat restoration and sustainable land management, ensuring that our projects not only protect biodiversity but also create long-term benefits for local communities.Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration—she believes that the best solutions come when scientists, hunters, and local stakeholders work hand-in-hand. From the Carpathian Mountains to the wetlands of southern Spain, Elena has spearheaded projects that restore fragile ecosystems, reduce poaching threats, and strengthen wildlife populations. She views conservation as more than just environmental work—it is about preserving culture, livelihoods, and heritage alongside nature.
Markus Stein – Policy and Advocacy Coordinator
Markus brings a wealth of knowledge in environmental law and international policy. With more than a decade of experience in wildlife advocacy, he works to ensure that European hunting regulations are rooted in science and sustainability. His role involves engaging with policymakers, representing our organization at international forums, and advocating for laws that protect habitats while respecting traditional hunting practices.Markus believes that effective conservation must have strong legal frameworks behind it. He has played a key role in shaping wildlife management policies that balance ecological health with cultural traditions. Beyond his policy work, Markus is a strong communicator, dedicated to educating the public on how regulated, ethical hunting can be a powerful tool for conservation. His ability to bridge the gap between governments, conservationists, and hunters makes him an invaluable part of our mission.
Sofia Laurent – Community Outreach & Education Specialist
Sofia leads our efforts to connect people with nature through education and outreach. With a background in sociology and environmental education, she is passionate about building bridges between conservation efforts and everyday people. She organizes workshops, awareness campaigns, and school programs that inspire both children and adults to care deeply about the environment.Her work focuses on empowering communities to see themselves as stewards of their local ecosystems. By highlighting the benefits of sustainable hunting and conservation, Sofia helps dispel misconceptions and creates a more inclusive conversation around wildlife protection. She strongly believes that the future of conservation depends on the younger generation, which is why she invests much of her energy in developing youth-focused programs. Sofia’s creativity, empathy, and dedication ensure that our message resonates widely, turning awareness into meaningful action.
